SNEAK PEAK: The Wedding of Jessie and Tom

These two sweethearts met in highschool, went to university together at The University of Western Australia and then tied the knot on Saturday at The Marina, Mindarie in an 'engagement party' that became a suprise wedding for their delighted (and a little bit shocked) family and friends! Tom and Jessie it was an absolute pleasure and delight to witness this first look, and your entire celebration. More photos to come later.

The Kings Park Wedding of Jo and Darryl

J+D's wedding was such a beautiful coming together of two families (with some absolutely gorgeous cars thrown in!!). After a simple and heartfelt ceremony (his daughters were his 'best men'), we went on a little adventure from Burswood, to Kings Park and finally out to a gorgeous sprawling property for wood fired pizzas and celebrations under the stars!

SNEAK PEAK: The Wedding of Adam and Kirsty

This is the story of a boy from Washington who fell for a girl from Zimbabwe, while living in Perth!  And what better place to celebrate their love than at Fairbridge Village and Nanga Bush Camp, which in one moment looks like the heartland of America, and in the next moment looks like the planes of Africa.  Adam and Kirsty, your wedding day was equal parts of romance and ridiculousness, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it!!!!

The Swan Valley Wedding of Kathie and Jason

Well..... this was a pleasant suprise!  I shot a pre elopement session with this beautiful couple earlier in the year, and CLEARLY they loved me so much they cancelled the overseas elopement so I could be there for the big day (kidding!!!).  Kathie and Jason, I'm so delighted to have been able to witness your marriage, and I wish you every good thing in the future.  Keep that inner kid alive ;-)

The Wonderful Wedding of Rob and Katia

I was there the day these two precious people met, and to be there the day they promised forever to each other, was a joy I will never forget.  Rob and Katia you are clearly adored by all who know you, and you obviously adore each other with that deep kind of love that comes from weathering seasons together. Your fathers first look at his daughter as a bride, the impromptu jazz band popping up from the congregation, your sunset walk in the woods, that EPIC first dance are memories to treasure forever!!  Long may you live in love xxx Ceremony: West City Church, Wembley  Reception: Leapfrogs, Wanneroo

Kings Park Pre Wedding Wanderings

These two cuties are about to head off for their wedding in the Phillipines, but wanted to showcase the city that they love for their pre wedding photos, and despite some rain showers,  Perth didn't disappoint (even the jacarandas were showing off)!!  N+R it was so lovely getting to be part of your wedding journey xxx

The 'FIRST LOOK' of Nathan and Eve

In the maddness of wedding season, I haven't been blogging, but just wanted to take this moment to remind myself and everyone else, that GOOD STUFF is happening all the time!  This time last Friday, while many people were counting down the hours until work was over for the week, some truly extraordinary moments were taking place at a little jetty, between a guy called Nathan and his soon to be bride Eve.  Feast your eyes on their 'first look'!

The Wedding of Stephanie and Trent

Cutest dog ever, crazy bridal party, gorgeous flowers, sun shimmering off the ocean in front of the always funky Kidogo Arthouse, pub pit stops, amazing food at Little Creatures Brewery, hilarious speeches - the wedding of Steph and Trent was incredible, and none of us will ever forget it.  Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it!

Sittella Swan Valley Wedding of Rebecca and Joe

There was NO lack of sass and swagger in this lively wedding at Sittella Winery in the glorious Swan Valley.  The Brittish lads and lasses arrived in force to celebrate Rebecca and Joe and the day was certainly one they will never forget!  Brides lifting skirts, grooms dropping pants, a giant cardboard bulldog, vintage VWs and cute caravans, cigars, magicians, crazy football rivalry, way too much off key singing.  It was AWESOME!

Fremantle Pre Wedding Frolicks

You couldn't wipe the smiles off these two beautiful faces as they explored Fremantle together. Not only do they share (almost) the same name - Jordan and Jordana, but they share a love for life that is infectious!  Guys, I CAN'T WAIT to photograph your wedding!!!

The Wanneroo Botanic Gardens Wedding Celebration of Jodie + Morris

This was the heartfelt coming together of two beautiful families, in the gorgeous surrounds of the Wanneroo Botanical Gardens!  There was confidence and love shining out of this couples eyes as they committed their lives to each other.  Jodie and Morris it was a privilege to be part of this incredible day, thank you xxx

The Araluen and Fairbrossen Wedding Celebration of Laura + Mike

This wedding was filled with such heartfelt appreciation for life and love, and I know that everyone left feeling that the world is a little brighter and better than before!  Laura and Mike, thank you for showing us the beauty of two soul mates finding each other!!

The Bollywood Wedding Extravaganza of Laura & Vish

The colour and joy that shimmered through every moment of this incredible celebration is something that I will never forget!  To see this red headed English rose joining her dark and handsome lover in an Indian marriage like something out of the movies, was the greatest delight.  Love REALLY did win!  Over culture, traditions, countries, nationalities, it triumphed loud and clear!!  All my love and best wishes in your future adventures Laura and Vishal xx What a wonderful world this is, with couples like you in it!

Swan Valley 'FIRST LOOK' of Florentina and Ashley

Florentina and Ashley got married this weekend, in a joyous community celebration with ridiculous amounts of food, family and love!  It also happened to be right in the middle of a rain storm, and the scheduled helicopter ride to get photos in the vineyards of Sandalford, had to be cancelled.  The good news is, that they took some time out a few weeks before the wedding, for Ashley to have a 'first look' at his bride, in a truly romantic and intimate afternoon spent in the Swan Valley.  I hope you enjoy these images, as much as they enjoyed each other!

The Wedding of Shannon and Ra

Some weddings really hit me in the heart, and this was one of those special days. The joining of two INCREDIBLE families with so so so much love for each other!  It was a joyful and tearful affair and I'm so honoured to have been able to capture these moments. The Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough, Perth was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and reception, along with some bridal party shananagans on the tennis courts, and despite the looming rain clouds we managed a little adventure out onto the beach for some quiet moments as newly weds!  What a day, and what a night, with an unforgettable first dance, and speeches that didn't leave a dry eye in the house.

The Beautiful Now - Introducing Sarah

This is my friend Sarah, she travels the world helping people.  She is brave and wise. A woman of faith, and unfathomable depths.  Her eyes see right into your soul, and she is a wonderful listener.  She loves with all of her heart, and she is dearly loved. Our time together down at the beach reminded me of this song by Brooke Fraser...

We're adrift on a sailboat/My love is the sea/Yours is the horizon/Constant and steady

You set my limbs locked hard afloat/Lifted my lonesome sails/The tide is out, the moon is high/We're sailing

Darling, your love is healing/It makes the bitter sweet/Warms the winter to spring again/Secures the colds defeat

We're cutting anchor/Casting out into the glorious deep/The tide is out, the moon is high/We're sailing

The Beautiful Now - Introducing Mike

Far too many people, including my amazing friends, remain unphotographed because no 'big' life moments have presented themselves.  My mission is to capture at least one of these frame worthy people each season.  Introducing Mr Dark and Stormy, and the unwilling candidate for Winter, my friend Mike.  He is pensive and playful, kind and sensitive, loyal, clever and extremely caring.  He REALLY does enjoy long walks on the beach and strumming his guitar, and is INCREDIBLY shy about being photographed. But I'm glad I won that battle, so you can get to know him a little through these 24 images. Enjoy!
